Thu, 18 Apr 2019

A climate change protester from the Isle of Man is among 400 people who have been arrested following the Extinction Rebellion demonstrations which have ground London to a halt.

Phillipa Tomlinson who travelled from the Island to the capital has been arrested in Westminster.

Metropolitan Police have confirmed Ms Tomlinson was arrested in Westminster Square and taken to Lewisham Police Station.

Since Monday, thousands of people have descended on the capital, disrupting the city in a bid to get the UK government to address climate change and call a climate emergency.
