Manx woman to receive Maundy Money from the Queen

A dedicated churchgoer from the Isle of Man has been nominated to receive a traditional Easter gift from the Royal Family.

Sheila Signorio will attend the Maundy Thursday service at Windsor this morning.

She will receive a specially minted coin in a leather purse.

93 men and 93 women have been invited for 2019, as it's customary to hand out Maundy Money to the same number of people as the Sovereign's age.

The Queen turns 93 on Easter Sunday.
