Temporary marquee for trams approved

An application to build a temporary marquee to house Douglas' horse trams has been approved.

The Department of Infrastructure will keep the trams in the large tent on the former Summerland site but the tracks would have to be extended from the Terminus Tavern.

The marquee will be able to hold six trams and site must be returned to its original condition by April 1st 2020.
