Great British Bake Off star to attend Food & Drink Festival

Selasi Gbormittah, a semi-finalist of 2016’s The Great British Bake Off, will be the celebrity guest at this year’s Isle of Man Food & Drink Festival.

The event will take place at the Villa Marina Gardens on Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th September.

Selasi will be at the festival all day on the Saturday and Sunday, giving two cooking demonstrations in the Manx Food Theatre, judging the Student Chef of the Year and Chef of the Year competitions which are sponsored by Robinson’s, and talking about his journey from amateur to professional baker on the Saturday night when the festival stays open until 9pm.

The Isle of Man Food & Drink Festival is organised by the Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture.

Last year just over 8,500 people flocked to the festival contributing £230,000 to the local economy.
