Volunteer receives British Empire Medal

A Douglas woman has been presented with a British Empire Medal for her voluntary services.

Mary Bridson was named in the New Year Honours List for her years of outstanding service to St John Ambulance.

Mrs Bridson was presented with the medal by Lieutenant Governor Richard Gozney at Government House this week.

Following 68 years of service for St John Ambulance, she remains a personal officer.
