Police to use body-worn cameras following successful trial

Body-worn Cameras could be rolled out across the Island's entire police force ahead of this year's TT.

Officers have been trialing the devices, which record what happens around police officers during their shifts.

Similar trials in the UK and Jersey have shown footage from such cameras results in earlier guilty pleas and speeds up the justice process.

The constabulary are now looking to secure a contract for the devices.
