Winter Hill victims to be remembered on 61st anniversary

A service of remembrance will be held this morning to mark the 61st anniversary of the Winter Hill air crash, which saw the loss of 35 Manx people.

Douglas Rotary Club will be marking the tragedy with a service at Cooil y Ree Park, St. John’s, at 11am

It’s anticipated the service will be attended by family members of those who lost their lives, in what is regarded as one of the UK’s worst high ground aviation accidents.
