Postal workers on the Isle of Man have begun a three-day walk out this morning - on the one of the busiest days for the postal service.
The three-day walkout began at 5.30am and will end at 6pm on Saturday.
Union members are striking over concerns to planned changes to the postal service, cost-cutting measures and changes to its pension scheme.
Isle of Man Post Office has a contigency plan in place.
Priority will be given to premium services (Special Delivery and Parcelforce 24), Yodel parcel deliveries and business services for commercial clients.
The service normally delivers approximately 500 bouquets of flowers on Valentine’s Day and delivering these will not be affected.
Customers are reminded that an Island-wide doorstep delivery of standard post will not be possible which will include Valentine’s Day cards.
