Police investigate after violent assault posted on social media

Police are investigating after a violent altercation between two young girls was posted on social media.

The video which has been circulated on Facebook and Snapchat shows one girl attacking another girl with force - including several punches and kicks.

The teens involved are both believed to be students at Ballakermeen High School.

In a statement, the school said: "We are fully aware and already working with other agencies. Your support in making sure we were informed is greatly appreciated."

Isle of Man Constabulary says it is aware of the video and it is being investigated by officers and partner agencies.
