Rainfall last month was lowest in 20 years

The Met Office has released its monthly weather report following the recent cold snap.

Temperatures on the Island had an average of 6.4 Celsius in January.

The coldest day was recorded on January 31st, when the temperature reached a maximum of 3.6 Celsius with a low of 2.5 Celsius.

Forecasters also said it was driest January on the Isle of Man since 1997.
