Notice board deliberately damaged in Port Erin

Police in the south of the Island are appealing for information after damage was caused in Athol Park in Port Erin.

A brand new notice board was smashed with a stone over the weekend.

A spokesperson for the Southern Neighbourhood Policing Team said: "We wish to take this opportunity to remind anyone who thinks there is anything to be gained from causing such petty damage, to rethink about their actions and the affect these can have on the ones who are then left to sort it out of their own pockets."

Officers will be carrying out additional patrols in the area.
