A cake designer from Peel is celebrating another international win with one of her products.
Aimee Ford from ‘Butterfingers Cakes’ has taken a Gold Award and ‘best in class’ at the prestigious ‘Salon Culinaire’ held at the NEC in Birmingham.
Aimee’s latest accolade comes just two months after winning gold and silver awards at the Cake International Expo
She told Energy FM News she was ‘In shock’ when she found she had won this award.
‘Butterfingers’ started almost seven years ago, manufacturing cupcakes for the wholesale market. The business has grown and is now a supplier of specialty cakes for weddings and other occasions, and also corporate customers.
The ‘Butterfingers’ brand has a reputation as a ‘premium product’ – these are no ordinary creations.
Aimee told Energy FM that she often works with clients who require certain flavours and sometimes very intricate and specific designs. Apart from her wholesale products, which are available in outlets Island wide, the cakes are very much bespoke to each client’s brief.
Aimee still supplies some of her longest established wholesale customers with cupcakes and cakes for retail in their catering outlets.
