Christmas Day dinner ruined in one Douglas household

Fire crews were called out to a kitchen fire in Douglas on Christmas Day.

Two crews were sent to the property at just after 12:30pm.

The owner of the property had left his Christmas Dinner in the oven unattended, resulting in a smoke logged property and a ruined Christmas dinner.

Crews ventilated the property using a Positive Pressure Ventilation fan.

The fire service is reminding the public that leaving unattended cooking can cause fires in the home.
