Malew Parish Commissioners have condemned those responsible for vandalism and abuse taking place on private land in Langness.
A series of incidents have been reported by staff at a holiday cottage business, such as removal of signs, damage to fences, putting up of trip wires, and filling padlocks with dog excrement.
Visitors are asked by the landowners to keep their dogs on leads to protect sheep and cattle from worrying, and protect the peninsula’s ecosystem.
It’s thought the vandalism has been committed by a small minority of those who do not wish to comply.
The local authority has come out against the actions which have taken place within its borders, stating the wishes of landowners must be respected.
The vandalism is also thought to have affected refuse collection workers from Malew Commissioners.
