Man arrested after car crashes into play area

Police are appealing for witnesses after a Land Rover crashed into a children's playground yesterday.

Officers say the black 4x4 lost control and crashed through the metal fence of the play park next to Cronk y Berry School.

Pictures on social media show the vehicle came to a rest in the middle of the play area.

A 35-year-old man was arrested at the scene although Isle of Man Constabulary have refused to release which offences the man was held on.

It's thought there were no children in the park at the time, and nobody was injured.
