Tynwald Approves £1.5m on Horse Tram Depot

Plans to spend up to £1.5 million pounds for a new horse tram depot in Douglas have been approved by Tynwald.

The existing Strathallan depot will be demolished and make way for a new depot which will include offices, public washrooms, accommodation for 13 horse tramcars and sheds.

The government took over the running of the service in 2016.
