The fight is on to eradicate an invasive weed in the south of the Island
Sat, 17 Nov 2018
A five-year plan is underway to eradicate Japanese Knotweed from the South of the Island.
Arbory Commissioners will spend the first three years injecting the weed with herbicides to help kill it off.
They’re targeted in the area from Colby River along Glen Road and we could face a rate rise to cover the cost.
Chair Jane Glover explains why they’re allocating five years to deal with the infestation.
