Councils on the Isle of Man will have to budget for pension changes

Councils on the Isle of Man will have to budget for pension changes, which come into force next year.

The Policy and Reform Minister, Chris Thomas is warning authorities they need to ready themselves  for when the state pension ceases to be contracted out on 1st April.

Douglas Borough Council fears rates may have to increase to cope with the extra expense, but Mr Thomas says it’s all about balancing the books
