The soldier from the Douglas war memorial features on a special commemorative coin to mark the centenary of Armistice Day.

The 50 pence piece also features red poppies, which will be distributed to schools this week.

Two specially minted silver 50 pound coins have also been issued, which have been decorated with gold-plated poppies and have been presented to the President of Tynwald and the Speaker of the House of Keys.
