A permanent tribute to those who gave their lives in the First World War has been installed by Douglas Borough Council, ahead of Armistice Day.
The poppy, placed on Douglas Head, has been re-laid with a new material so the feature can be displayed all year round.
Support from the Manx Lottery Trust has helped the Council turn the poppy into a permanent fixture – previously workers had to wait for more than 4,000 plants to grow throughout the different seasons.
