£1.2m Farming Support Approved

A package of financial help for the Island’s farmers who were affected by the hot summer has been agreed by Tynwald.

Farmers who have lost crops in the dry weather will be able to apply for a grant from a £1.2 million drought relief scheme.

Many had to use winter feed over the summer as grazing land was affected by the dry weather.
