The Manx Government has announced that it will be reviewing the Island’s ‘Living Wage’ annually. It is currently £8.61 per hour.
Speaking in Tynwald earlier, Policy & Reform minister Chris Thomas told the Court that the next review will take place early in the new year.
There have been calls for the Government to set the minimum wage at living wage levels, however at the moment the Island’s minimum wage still a long way short, despite having been raised form the 1st October, to £7.85.
