Emergency services were called to rescue a man from a loft in Peel yesterday.
A specialist Line Rescue team were called to assist the Ambulance Service at a property where a male casualty needed to be removed from a loft.
The casualty was not injured but was unable to get himself out unaided.
The line rescue team assisted the Ambulance Service by setting up a simple safe system of work using ropes and control devices to lower the casualty to the ground floor once he was secured into a stretcher designed for confined space rescues.
The casualty was taken to Nobles hospital to be checked out.
