Manx Rally out of Historic Championship

There's been another blow to Manx Tourism as Rally Isle of Man has now been axed from the British Historic Championship.

The dates have been announced and the Isle of Man round has been dropped in favour of the Ulster Rally, which the Championship organisers describe as 'the major sail-away event of the season' with 'top level closed road stages'.

The loss of the British and Historic Championships wipes out around 50% of Rally IOM's entries.

Rally Isle of Man were forced to cancel this month's event after the DOI refused to grant the event a road closures notice.
