Fishing boat suffered engine failure

Douglas Lifeboat was called to go to the aid of a stricken fishing boat yesterday.

The vessel, with one person on board, was near Onchan Head at the north end of Douglas Bay when it suffered engine failure at around 11:50am.

The cause was overheating due to a blocked coolant inlet.

Douglas Lifeboat located the fishing boat and towed the vessel back to Douglas Marina.
