Andrew Corlett has been sworn in as the Isle of Man’s First Deemster and Clerk of the Rolls.
Deemster Corlett took the Oath of Allegiance and the Deemsters’ Oath in a ceremony at Government House yesterday.
The Warrant of Appointment was presented by His Excellency the Lieutenant Governor Sir Richard Gozney on behalf of Her Majesty The Queen.
His Honour succeeds David Doyle who stood down as First Deemster in July.
Deemster Corlett spent 17 years in private practice before being appointed as Deputy Deemster in 2007 and Deemster in 2009.
