Pollution in Ramsey Harbour

Ramsey Coastguard crews were called out to tackle an oil pollution incident in Ramsey Harbour yesterday.

On arrival, it was observed that the pollution was widely dispersed and could be seen the whole length of the harbour.

Crews were unable to find the source of the pollution.

Absorbent booms have been placed in the corner of the harbour near to Mezeron in an attempt that some of the oil will be absorbed.
