A property developer that planned to convert a former Douglas hotel into apartments now wants to demolish the building.
Westminster Associates has permission to convert the Marina Hotel on Loch Promenade into nine apartments and office space.
However, recent inspection have revealed the current structure to be in an unstable condition.
A second planning application seeking to demolish the registered building has now been submitted for the same number of apartments and facilities on the same site.
The plans reveal the front design of the building will match the existing style, while the construction of a new building will allow the site to be constructed to current building regulations.
