Police urge dog owners to keep pets cool in vehicles

Police are urging dog owners not to leave their pets in vehicles unless they have enough cooling and ventilation.

Officers from the Isle of Man Constabulary were called out yesterday following a report of a dog in a van.

After attending the scene, the police found the dog wasn't distressed and was asleep.

Officers waited for the owner to return and offered some advice, and are warning others they will break a window if they believe a dog is in danger.
