Dog rescued after fall in Douglas

A coastguard team was called out after a dog fell down a bank in Douglas.

The animal got into a heavily wooded area at the back of his home when it slipped and went over the edge of a near-vertical bank.

Crews from Douglas attended just before 4am on Sunday to find the dog, who was shaken and limping as a result of the fall.

The team managed to retrieve him from the wooded area and return him to his owner.
