A rider injured during a Classic TT practice session earlier this week has died.
Alan 'Bud' Jackson died as a result of injuries sustained on Thursday at the Creg-ny-Baa during practice for the Senior Classic TT.
The 62-year-old from Kendal in Cumbria was an experienced and regular competitor on the Isle of Man, having made his Manx Grand Prix debut in 1979.
He had four wins during his career, most recently in 1998 in the Classic Lightweight, as well as six other podiums.
His highest TT finish was in 1990 when he secured a fifth in the Ultra Lightweight TT.
The Manx Motor Cycle Club has extended its sympathies to Jackson's wife, son and daughter.
