Norman McGregor Edwards elected in Port St Mary

Norman McGregor Edwards has been elected to Port St Mary Commissioners.

The local authority held a bye election after one of its members stepped down mid-term earlier this year.

McGregor Edwards topped the poll with 277 votes, while Jilian Hamilton secured 85 and 84 voted for Karena Thewlis.

Three papers were spoilt, with a turnout of 28.8%, which the Commissioners described as encouraging.
