Fire crews had to help one person out of a building after being called to a fire at a property in Ramsey.
Firefighters attended the scene on Summerland Road just before 11am yesterday following a report of the smell of smoke coming from an electrical appliance.
The smoke was found to be coming from a ground floor annex kitchen, and a search found one person had been asleep in an upstairs room.
The team helped the person from the property and put the fire out, ensuring the fire damage was confined to the kitchen.
Crews remained at the scene for just over an hour.
