Police stop truck with expired tax

The Island's roads police warn they're still carrying out their day to day duties despite the roads being busier with bikes during the Festival of Motorcycling.

The reminder comes after a truck driver was stopped with expired tax this morning.

The Roads Policing Unit found the vehicle's tax had expired last year after the driver was unable to renew it due to the vehicle failing its annual safety test.

Although the roads are busier than usual, officers will still be looking out for issues like this throughout the fortnight.
