Classic TT rider in critical condition

A rider is in a critical condition and two others were injured following incidents during yesterday evening's Festival of Motorcycling practice.

Alan 'Bud' Jackson was taken by airmed to Noble's after a crash at the Creg-ny-Baa during the Senior Classic TT session, and is described as being in a critical condition.

David Linsdell and Bernie Wright were involved in a separate incident at the Black Hut. Wright has been flown off Island in a serious condition, while Linsdell is described as stable after suffering a back injury and leg fracture.

Further practice sessions are scheduled for this afternoon and this evening, with roads around the TT course due to close at 1.30pm.
