800 pupils to receive exam results

Over 800 pupils from the Island's secondary schools are due to receive their GCSE results today.

Manx students were entered into over 7000 full course qualification, which includes Cambridge IGCSEs, BTECs and Scottish Nationals as well as vocational courses.

The Department of Education, Sport and Culture will provide pupil support in the schools when pupils collect their results.

Last year, 83.5% of Year 11 students on the Isle of Man returned to full time education.
