Public Health issues measles advice

The Island's Public Health office is issuing advice on measles following reports that cases of the illness are at a record high across Europe.

Those heading abroad to attend university, festivals or on holiday or urged to ensure they're up to date with their MMR vaccines.

Anyone who isn't sure of their vaccination status is urged to check with their GP and catch up where two doses haven't been received.

Public Health has sent information to GP practices, schools, pharmacies and posted information on social media in a bid to raise awareness.
