Firefighters are using water from the river for their drills during the Island's hosepipe ban.

Manx Utilities placed a ban on hosepipe use earlier this month in order to protect water levels in the Island's reservoirs.

Crews from Douglas Fire Station took two portable pumps to the nearby river to use during wet drills with an aerial ladder platform.

The water authority revealed demand on the Island's reservoirs has fallen by 10% since the hosepipe ban came into force.
