Police issue scam warning

Manx police are warning of a scam which targets local businesses by offering advertising space in a magazine.

A company recently contacted the Isle of Man Constabulary after receiving a suspicious call offering advertising in a glossy magazine.

Officers says the sole aim of this scam is to take the firm's money without providing any advertising.

The police are urging all businesses to be wary of cold callers trying to sell advertising space.
