The Department of Infrastructure says a new cycle lane in the north of the Island should only be used by cyclists heading into Ramsey.
The lane was added to Lezayre Road during recent works in the area, but some local residents have raised concerns about the safety of the lane.
The DoI confirmed the lane isn't two-way and is only for those heading into the town, and that vehicles shouldn't enter unless it's safe to do so.
The Department insists cycle lanes encourage drivers to moderate their speed and check for cyclists.
