Almost quarter of a million pounds of Government money has been used to fund the cost of competing in sports competitions off Island over the last three years.
The Department of Education, Sport and Culture revealed £70,880 was used to fund travel for those competing elsewhere during the 2017-18 financial year.
The figure is slightly down from the previous two years, when almost £80,000 was provided by public funds.
Those taking part in athletics receive the most support, with over £8,500 provided in each of the last two years.
Gymnastics, hockey and motorcycling are among a number of sports to receive support in previous years, but no funding for travel was provided over the last 12 months.
The figures were revealed in response to a Freedom of Information request.
