Mountain Road to close for race preparations

The Mountain Road will be closed this evening as preparation work for the Festival of Motorcycling gets underway.

The road will be shut between Ramsey Hairpin and the Creg-ny-Baa Back Road between 6.30pm and 10.30pm tonight and tomorrow.

Work will include cutting verges to ensure marshal huts have an unobstructed view, as well as setting up signs and equipment.

The racing gets underway later this month.
