Planning permission sought for telecoms mast at Ramsey hospital

A telecoms provider is seeking planning permission to install a 12m mast at Ramsey & District Cottage Hospital.

Sure says the mast would improve network coverage in the area, particularly for those using their mobile devices while at the hospital.

The operator described the current coverage as acceptable for voice calls but admits data usage of sporadic - it's hoped the mast would improve the situation.

The mast would sit in the corner of the hospital's grounds away from the main building and result in the cycle shed being relocated to make room for the equipment.
