Mountain Road closure to allow for essential maintenance

The Department of Infrastructure says next week's Mountain Road closures will allow for essential maintenance ahead of the Festival of Motorcycling.

The road will be closed between the Creg-ny-Baa and Ramsey Hairpin between 6.30pm and 10.30pm on Tuesday and Wednesday next week.

The DoI will carry out hedge and verge trimming to give better visibility to from the marshal shelters.

Contractors will also check the course and set up equipment and scaffolding, as well as placing medical equipment in the marshal shelters.
