A number of today's sailings have been cancelled due to technical issues and the weather conditions.
The Ben-my-Chree wasn't able to leave for Heysham as scheduled at 8.45am due to a technical problem while berthing earlier today.
As a result, the Steam Packet Company cancelled the crossing and the return journey at 2.15pm to allow engineers to carry out repairs.
Meanwhile, the Manannan remains in Douglas as a rapid deterioration in the weather forecast prevented its 7.30am sailing to Liverpool from going ahead, as well as the 11.15am crossing to Douglas. Conditions reaching severe gale force nine are expected in the Irish Sea this afternoon.
Those due to travel on the affected crossings can contact the Steam Packet's reservations team on 661661.
