56% of employers satisfied with Island's work permit system

A Government survey claims just over half of the Island's employers are now happy with the work permit system.

A latest Business Confidence Survey suggests 56% of companies who employ workers on the Island are now satisfied, compared to just 27% previously.

The Department for Enterprise has recently made changes in a bid to increase satisfaction with the system, including bringing in a new fees system and simplified online application process.

The survey covered the period from October 2017 to April this year.
