Plans to pedestrianise the Market Square in Castletown have split opinion amongst the town's residents.
Castletown Commissioners has contacted the Department of Infrastructure to request the pedestrianisation of the area.
The local authority shared an announcement on social media following a board meeting last week, but the response has been mixed.
Some raised concerns about reducing the amount of parking in the town, but others praised the move speaking out in favour of the atmosphere in the square during periods when parking had been suspended.
