Port Erin beach inspection to take place today

An inspection will be carried out at Port Erin beach this lunchtime to see if the area can be reopened.

The beach has been closed at the high water mark since Sunday due to a diesel spill.

The coastguard inspected the scene yesterday, but decided the beach would have to stay shut until at least 1pm.

Those in the area are urged to observe all signage in the area until the beach has been reopened.
