Douglas Coastguard is urging caution after a team was called out to help an injured youth who had been jumping into the sea.
Crews helped paramedics evacuate the casualty from the Sea Lion Pens area at Groudle on Saturday evening.
The coastguard warns this incident happened on the first day of the summer holidays and is urging those thinking of climbing and jumping into the sea to think first.
The youth wasn't badly injured, but the coastguard insists the activity can be dangerous and is calling for others to consider the consequences.
