Fire crews were called out to rescue a person needing medical treatment from the second floor of a Douglas hotel.
Firefighters were asked to help yesterday afternoon, resulting in Douglas promenade being partly closed for a time while the emergency services attended.
The team determined the most comfortable way to get the casualty down to the paramedics was through the window.
An aerial ladder platform was used to reach the window and lower the patient to street level, where an ambulance was waiting.
